Axon’Care is a company focused on occupational healthcare, developing software to help occupational doctors with their day-to-day tasks.

This internship aimed to develop an AI-based application to help doctors in their work.

First, the application integrates a local LLM with information collected by the software over time. The model can perform actions in the database, such as adding a new disease based on a message written by the doctor. It can also search for the proper ICD-10 codes and other relevant information. The doctor only needs to verify, correct, and validate the result.

Another important part of the application (and arguably the most important one) is using the local LLM to generate a quick report on the patient’s health profile. It does so by accessing information stored in the database and producing a report. The application is able to read structured data, PDF files, and stored images.

This internship led to a Fixed Term Contract during the following summer to further develop the application’s features.
